Computer Science is the discipline concerned with computation, algorithms, and the systems that power modern life. In today’s world, computers are everywhere, and even when we “unplug,” they continue running in the background of our communities: innovating and developing new technologies, protecting us from and mitigating natural disasters, saving lives, securing nations, and shaping society’s future. Because computers are so deeply integrated into our society, the Computer Science curriculum at Chaminade is designed to develop computer scientists with a high degree of technical skill, a community-driven mindset, and a strong sense of social responsibility — values that align with Chaminade's mission, Catholic social teachings, and our Marianist educational tradition.
