BSN Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the undergraduate BSN program , students will be able to:

1: Integrate nursing science with the best evidence and knowledge from other disciplines to guide nursing practice and clinical decision-making and enhance effective, ethical, and equitable healthcare delivery.

2: Manage population health issues by engaging in effective partnerships to demonstrate advocacy strategies, equitable health policy, and disaster preparedness while considering the socioeconomic impact of healthcare delivery.

3: Contribute to the safety and quality improvement of person-centered care considering the cultural context of the individual, family, and community.

4: Ethically utilize information systems, patient care technologies, inter-professional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to optimize client safety and improve outcomes.

5: Contribute to healthcare system quality by utilizing performance metrics to reduce cost, improve outcomes, and evaluate the effectiveness of care.

6: Demonstrate nursing practice based on ethical and legal principles, professional nursing standards, and leadership concepts while developing a professional identity.
