Overview
Description
This course is focused on the structure and function of the human body and mechanisms for maintaining homeostasis. Topics include the study of the autonomic nervous system, blood, cardiovascular system including lymphatic system, immune system, respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system, endocrine system, and male and female reproductive systems. Emphasis is placed on the integration of systems as they relate to normal health. Required course for nursing majors. Non-nursing students (e.g. pre-health professions students) may take this course subject to availability of seats in a separate course section than nursing majors. Co-requisites: BI 152L, NUR majors.
