Description
This course provides graduate students with the tools and knowledge to administer and
interpret formal and informal literacy assessments for K-6 students. Graduate students will
learn how to use assessment data to guide instruction and intervention in phonological
awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, spelling, and writing. The course
includes experience with diagnostic assessments, progress monitoring tools, and evidence-
based intervention strategies.
