Payment Options


Payment by cash, check, or money order may be made in person at the Chaminade Business Office located in the Clarence T.C. Ching Hall, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm., Monday through Friday (except holidays). Hawaii banks have a six working day holding period on out-of-state checks. Credit Card/Debit Card payments cannot be processed in person.

Check payments may also be made made online through Self-Service at selfservice.chaminade.edu/student or mailed to Chaminade University of Honolulu, Business Office Cashier, 3140 Waialae Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96816-1578. Mailed checks and money orders should be made payable to Chaminade University of Honolulu in US Dollars and include your student ID number. A 25 dollar fee will be charged for each returned check.

Credit Card/Debit Card payments must be made online through Self-Service at selfservice.chaminade.edu/student. All major credit cards are accepted. There is a non-refundable 2.85 percent service charge per transaction (4.25 percent for international transactions).

To cover books and expenses for the first month, students should bring U.S Postal Service money orders or traveler’s checks in denominations of 100 dollars or less. International students should establish a relationship with a financial institution prior to arriving in Honolulu. Students receiving financial aid should bring with them sufficient funds to cover books and living expenses while forms are being processed.

Tuition Payment Plan

Enrollment in a tuition payment plan is completed via Self-Service at selfservice.chaminade.edu/student. This plan allows students to pay tuition on a monthly basis. There is a non-refundable enrollment fee of 55 dollars per term, but no monthly finance charges.

For Graduate and Doctoral students in the Accelerated terms the payment plan will divide the current term balance into three monthly payments. The first payment is due at the start of the term. The remaining payments are due on the same date in the following two months.

There are four terms in an academic year for the Accelerated program:
• Winter Accelerated term (January to March)
• Spring Accelerated term (April to June)
• Summer Accelerated term (July to September)
• Fall Accelerated term (October to December)

For Graduate and Doctoral students in the Day terms the payment plan will divided the current term balance into four monthly payments. The first payment is due at the start of the term. The remaining payments are due on the same date in the following three months.

There are three full Day terms in the school year:
• Spring term (January to May)
• Full Summer term (May to August)
• Fall Term (August to December)
No payment plan is available for the part time Summer terms

Delinquent Accounts Policy

It is the policy of Chaminade University to report all students with outstanding balances to the credit bureau beginning when charges are 300 days past due and continuing until the balance is paid in full.
