University Care Team
At Chaminade University of Honolulu, the Care Team exists to promote the safety, well-being, and success of all members of our campus community. Rooted in the Marianist Educational Values of educating for formation in faith, providing an integral quality education, and educating for service, justice, and peace, the Care Team responds to concerns about students, faculty, and/or staff who may be experiencing distress, exhibiting disruptive behavior, or facing significant personal challenges. By fostering a compassionate and proactive approach, the team helps ensure that every member of our campus community has the opportunity to thrive in a supportive and respectful environment.
The Care Team, a function of the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs & Dean of Students, is a multidisciplinary group of campus professionals who coordinate early interventions and connect students, faculty, and staff to appropriate campus and community resources. They serve as the central point of contact for reporting concerning behaviors, assessing potential risks, and developing individualized support plans. Guided by the Marianist commitment to building community and adapting to change, the Care Team works collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students to address issues before they escalate—striving to prevent harm, reduce disruption, and create conditions for personal growth and academic success.
If you are concerned about the well-being or behavior of a Chaminade student, you can reach out to the Care Team by submitting an online Individual of Concern Report or by contacting the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs directly.
