Counseling Services

We are aware that there are many challenges that you will face throughout your college experience. The Chaminade University Counseling Center is here to provide you with as much mental health support as possible. We are a confidential, safe, diverse, and judgment free space providing services to actively enrolled full-time and part-time Chaminade undergraduate and graduate students. Students may receive approximately 10 sessions of counseling free of charge during their academic career. If a student requires sessions beyond what the Counseling Center can provide, referrals to community resources are available. Counseling services are available in-person and via telehealth.

Services provided include, but are not limited to:

  • Individual and couples counseling

  • Group counseling

  • Crisis management

  • Psycho-education

  • Referrals to community providers/resources

  • Consultative services in-person

  • Trainings & Workshops such as Mental Health Crisis Response Training and QPR Suicide Prevention Training

Types of challenges seen within the Counseling Center may include stress management, adjustments to college, phases of life issues, interpersonal issues, substance use, grief, depression, self-esteem, family concerns, anxiety, etc.

Trained Peer Mentors also provide support, guidance, and a sense of community for students by offering educational and fun activities.
