Crisis Intervention

This course is designed to prepare students to understand the nature of crisis intervention, including the appropriateness of individual and team responses. It will utilize crisis intervention strategies for responding to calls pertaining to mental illness, natural disasters, and other incidents where usual patterns of functioning are impaired. Special focus will address the crisis management strategies of prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
