Description

This course introduces students to the core principles and practices of data analytics and its relationship to operations management, logistics, and supply chain management as integrated functions critical to organizational success. Students will explore how businesses design, manage, and improve processes that deliver goods and services efficiently and effectively across local and global networks.
Key topics in this course include: advanced data analytics, fundamentals of operations management (process design, capacity planning, quality control), inventory and warehouse management, procurement and supplier relationships, transportation and logistics systems, demand forecasting
and production planning, global supply chain strategies and risk management, and technology and sustainability in supply chains. Through case studies, hands-on projects, and real-world examples, students will analyze operations and supply chain challenges, identify performance metrics,
and propose ethical and sustainable solutions that enhance productivity, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. (A $100 fee for MS Excel 365 Desktop Subscription is required for this course.)
