Description

Work with infants and toddlers provides an unparalleled view of the marvel of early human development. Chaminade students learn to design, prepare, and interact appropriately in environments especially designed to make the most of the youngest child’s potential in these critical early years. Emphasis is placed on the role of the adult as an assistant to the child and family in each child’s development. This course also explores the relationships caregivers have with families and
the community. Students discuss the emotional bridges built consciously and subconsciously with children and their families. Topics include the psychology of parenthood, interactions with parents, health and nutrition, and community resources. Required course for Montessori Infant/Toddler Credential.
