Description

The Nurse Aide Training Program (NATP) at Chaminade University is primarily designed for BSN nursing students to learn the basic nursing skills and personal care skills, including basic nursing knowledge, in order to provide care in long-term care facilities or patient's residential areas. This CNA training may be also offered to other Chaminade University students, or to adults in the community. Students explore their knowledge and experience to prepare for additional levels of professional learning (such as various technician levels, LPN or RN) or to build a career ladder. This program is divided into three major components: in-class lecture, skills lab, and clinical study. Hours required for successful completion of this program are on the requirement and guidelines from the Nurse Aide Training Program (NATP) of Hawaii State.
