Overview
Description
This course is an inquiry into the relationship between film, history, and politics. It will examine how film is shaped by the politics, economics and culture of the society in which it is created. It will also study how film reflects that culture. It will relate how class, gender, ethnicity and other issues relate to the making and interpreting of film. Questions on morality, justice, service and community will be central to the course.
