Description

SPED Assessment, Identification, and Planning (FULL TITLE WILL BE USED)
This course focuses on both the quantitative and qualitative assessment of students referred to or enrolled in special education programs. Major topics include exceptional children, writing IEPs, behavioral observation, psychometric properties of tests, cognitive tests of ability, perceptual-motor tests, and measures of social and emotional functioning. As a part of this course, participants will participate in practica that includes hands-on practice of the learned skills with intensive oversight and supervision by a qualified school personnel.
